Kelly Clark
Student Athlete Advisor
Kelly Clark is a Student Athlete Advisor at the College Planning Center. Kelly received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Chico, graduating cum laude. Kelly has completed graduate coursework at California State University, Sacramento and has earned his Management Certificate from the California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training. He has worked in law enforcement for thirty years and attained the rank of Interim Chief of Police. He has taught classes at police academies and at California State University, Chico and Sacramento State University.
As a law enforcement officer, Kelly had a passion for helping underprivileged youth and volunteered his time as a counselor and mentor. He served as a Board member for Big Brothers and Big Sisters and promoted athletics to positively influence troubled teens.
Kelly is married with three children. He enjoys water and snow skiing, flying, scuba diving and spending time with his family.
As a former athlete, coach and educator, Kelly has a keen understanding of the issues related to today’s student athlete. He is passionate about helping students succeed in school as well as in their life pursuits.
