Blaine White

Blaine White brings a wealth of experience to The College Planning Center.  His first-hand knowledge of local area high school programs is based on ten years of guidance counseling at Folsom High School and three years as lead counselor for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District.  Blaine holds a Master of Science degree from Sac State with dual specializations in school counseling and marriage and family therapy.  While earning his B.A. in Psychology at Stanford University, Blaine took time to live and study in France.  It was through this life-changing opportunity that he came to value the benefit of participating in college overseas study programs. Since that time, Blaine has led numerous student groups on European educational tours during the summer.

Blaine’s corporate experience includes traveling extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada as an education specialist for NeXT Computer, a Redwood City start-up company headed by Steve Jobs.  Blaine’s career in education also led him to a multi-year tenure as Regional Director of Academic Affairs at Heald College.  It was ultimately his passion for helping students plan for the future that brought Blaine back to the field of academic advising and college planning at the high school level.  He is skilled at identifying “right-fit” campuses for his clients and genuinely enjoys guiding others through the always-exciting (and sometimes-overwhelming) college application process.  Blaine inspires young adults to realize their full potentials and guides them toward attending programs and universities where they can flourish and become content, successful, contributing members of society.
